May 2026 Writing Update

May started off slow before really picking up. I was halfway through writing book five of the Celestial Saga when I realized something…it just wasn’t working. I did my best to ignore this feeling and thought I could fix it all once I completed this trilogy. It wasn’t working out. I found myself not wanting to continue forward knowing that something felt off. I wasn’t playing to the strength of the characters and therefore I wasn’t playing to my own strength.

So, I went back to book four and started to rewrite it. That has been an excellent decision as I am once again having fun writing the story and I am much more satisfied with it! It’s amazing how just making a few small tweaks can make a world of difference. I already see the improvements and how the story will continue to improve as I write it.

On the 31^st I started round two of developmental edits for my other WIP. This will be a quick read through as I already made the majority of those edits during the first round. The plan is to finish those edits over the course of this week.
